LIve THEATRE

& ONLINE SHOWS

ABOUT

A popup theatre company dedicated to new work and new media.

HISTORY

Stringlight Co was founded in 2016 by Giancarlo Rodaz. The company's first show, Le Galliene's Alice in Wonderland, went up with a tiny budget almost completely supported by a small Indiegogo campaign, and a tight cast of six actors playing over 50 characters. And even after losing the lead, the show went on having Alice be a puppet performed by the cast members.

Looking to grow the company, Giancarlo Rodaz teamed up with an eager crew of characters led by Zoey Delaney. Since then, the company has dedicated itself to doing original work and online shows and films.

MISSION

Subvert audience expectations of how plays are performed, and deliver personal story telling to audiences for an affordable ticket price. All tickets are $20, and every show has a new, unconventional venue to fit the needs of the story being told.

As well as keeping the tradition of theatre alive, the company is also embracing story telling in new mediums such as Youtube and Instagram. Our YouTube channel delivers original short films created entirely in house for fans of theater, animation, and comedy alike. By bridging the gap between new and old, we hope to get a whole new generation of people interested in the classic art of theatrical storytelling, as well as getting seasoned theatre audiences to look forward to online entertainment.

Vector Dreddy, Music Director Winner of over 20 Jammy awards, and a five time platinum recording artist. Vector used to tour with his band in the 80s. But after one boozy fall day at Overgrowth's Radioactive Music Festival, where the bands play inside a nuclear reactor, they caused a chain meltdown by jamming too hard. He made it out alive, but with his left hand disfigured. Vector locked himself away for years, learning how to replay all of his instruments. He reemerged once Zoey approached him offering him a job. He reluctantly said yes.  Instagram: @vectordreddy
